IMPORTANT UPDATE

UPDATE: Our computer is getting replaced -- about time!! -- so the show is postponed until next week.  I'll keep you update as they tell me.  This will give more time for requests, and a chance for me to get more CDs . . . Not like I need an excuse for that ^_~

We're Back In the Game!

Sinn Wagon is coming back this semester!  The first show of Fall Semester will be on the September 8th.  Mark your calendars!

I'm thinking a new format.  The heavy metal will not leave; however, things will be a little less rigid as far as strictly metal.  Throwing The Donna's, I Hate Kate, Bikini Kill, etc. into the mix will liven things up a bit.  In addition, the show will only be once a week -- Wednesday 5:30 - 7:30.  Since I actually graduated, I need to enter the working world, and my days need to be open.  However, I am still taking requests!  Just post a comment here, and I'll try to get it on the air for the following week.  And, if I get my act together, I'm going to start posting a draft playlist.

This is exciting!  I hope you continue/start listening!

It's Official!

Last night, I spent some time/money on ITunes, got some awesome covers, and made a playlist (I'm listening to it as I write)! I'm planning it for April 15th (Thrs)! At this point, I'm considering whether I should post the playlist or not. It would be so much more awesome if it was a surprise :) Yes, I am that cruel ^_~

I'm Still Here

Tuning into the show this morning, you were shocked and saddened at the lack of heavy music. Don't worry, I was too ^_~

When I went in this morning, I was surprised to find the studio locked. As you probably know Pretentious Radio is on the hour before my show. Of coursed, I was shocked to find the door locked with no Kate and no Wily in the studio. The office door was open, so I figured Bob might be in, and, hence, be able to let me in. No such luck :( Sadly, I went home and figured that the show will resume on Thursday (yesterday's playlist will be bumped to Thrs.).

We're thinking a complete snafu. It is nearing the end of the semester and Wily is part of ASUW, so things probably got in the way. Lol, I'll make sure to ask Bob and Wily about getting a key :)

Tuesday is fast approaching! Over the break -- between reading for a paper and sewing -- I've been able to do a lot of work on a playlist full of covers! At this point, I have a mock-up that's still in production. It will be ready soon! I make no promises, but it might be aired next month! Yay! I'll announce it for you guys. We don't want to miss it \m/

I just put a poll in my sidebar. One of you mentioned doing a whole show devoted to covers. It sounds awesome! However, I want everyone's input. At this point, I probably won't do a show devoted to covers until later in the month or in April. If you would like this type of show, tell me what covers you want to hear! I have to ideas, but input would be awesome!

Getting the business out of the way, Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper are playing the Casper Events Center on May 5, 2010! This is the websites: http://www.gruesometwosometour.com/ (the official show website) and http://www.casperwy.gov/Play/ArtsEntertainment/CasperEventsCenter/tabid/402/Default.aspx (Casper Events Center). Standing room is $45 and stadium is $39.50. This event also gives the option of a dry section of stands for families, younger kids, or anyone abstaining for alcohol.

I'm not sure about my finals' schedule, but I really would like to attend! I'll try to remember to announce this on the show Tuesday.

Yesterday, while renting B horror movies, I decided to pick up a 30 Seconds to Mars CD. After listening to The Kill, I wanted to give them a chance. I ended up with the album This is War. Between trying to shove food down my throat, I didn't get a chance to listen to it until this afternoon. Two words: Epic fail! It appears as though it is a war protest album -- the tone, subject, and the little kids' choir in the background pretty cemented this idea in my head. After The Kill, I was really expecting something cool. I'm sure that they have good albums out there, so I won't write them off. But, if you want to pick them up, avoid this one! *shrug* Okay, you may like the protest album with strange kids' choirs . . .

The increasingly cold weather has driven me inside. In stead of curling up with a good book and hot chocolate, I am making a blog. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, a blog. "Too mainstreamed!" I can hear and feel your pain. :) *shrug*

Aside from my shameful advertisement of Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/eternal_synn), this blog is a way to interact with you, THE LISTENERS! Please give me our feedback!
